  • Understanding why tapered section is used in steel structure

  • Understanding the usage of Plane and Space Frame Analysis
  • Modeling the 2D and 3D Frame
  • Orientation to Staad Editor

Class-2: Design of a Single story shed

  • Understanding the different kind of support system
  • Advantages of using Simply support and Fixed support
  • Assigning the different kind of supports
  • Assigning the steel section sizes with respect to the design requirements
  • Changing the axis of structural steel section with respect to Arch. Requirements.

Class-3: Design of a Single story shed

  • Creating the different kind of load cases for Gravity and Lateral (Wind, Seismic)
  • Understanding the codal requirements for Imposed load 
  • Assigning the Different kind of Gravity loads

Class-4: Design of a Single story shed

  • Understanding the application of Wind force (Upward & Downward Wind force)
  • Understanding how to apply wind load on multi-gable shed & arch type shed. 
  • Understanding the application of Seismic force
  • Understanding the load combination as per BNBC code

Class-5: Design of a Single story shed

  • Design of roof purlin and side runner.

  • Introduction to RAM Connection

• Extracting the Base Reaction from the 3D Steel structural model

  • Design of column base plate
  • Design of moment connection (Main beam to column, Rafter to column, Rafter to Rafter, Column to column splice connection)

Class-8: Design of a two story shed (with Mezzanine Floor)
